- General business a) Steven moved a motion that we move into the next phase of consultation with the plan and that we support funding the fundraising application
5. Minutes from the last meeting are a true accurate account – Donna J moved, seconded Patrick.
6. Matters Arising
. Emergency plan is mainly for us only.
a. Justin - civil defence hui Sunday 3pm then fortnightly. Need to delegate more people. Seek funding/costs for large containers. Janis: concern around placement of water tank. It will be Denise’s land but could possibly poke over boundary - shouldn’t block access - Justin to confirm.

10. Rūnanga: Hunia:
. Education plan being refreshed/restarted
a. PCC Fibre, sewerage pipes - lobby to have renewed. We pay rates but are overlooked all the time. $55,000 to get fibre to marae - inform rūnanga
b. Donna J: Hows the flood mitigation? Maikara to touch base with PCC - Naomi: been a bit quiet since Omicron - drone to go up hill for footage of landscape.

p) Kahu: Matariki official holiday launch - tuahu ceremony at Te Papa 24 June. 13 karakia - Kahu rep for Ngāti Toa

- Online video/Zoom hui working OK? Raureti - working Ok but depends on device.
- Whare Awhina needs new skylight sheets
2. General Business:
A) Justin: He and two cousins Kim Stretch and Christina Simmons (Ngāti Haumia) doing 3 year Raukawa degree marae studies etc, had kōrero with Aunty Pip around whakapapa -wondered if OK to do on Hongoeka - whānau agreed.

B) Fiona M: Tabled Te Reo strategy update
C)Ammon - 25th anniversary Te Heke Mai Raro. Rūnanga to support financially for some activities etc. Kohai presented mock-up t-shirt designs with meaning around whakapapa for design discussed with the whakapapa rōpū with Aunty Pip. Donna J - concerns it didn’t go out to others, could have a design competition. General discussion - it was mentioned at last hui and there isn’t much time. Rakairoa has expertise in this area. Design has meaning i.e. whakapapa based. Have to get orders etc. Patrick moved we accept design Sandra seconded.
Kohai? Wanted to have Uncle Brian's exhibition up but Aunty Pat Gunson had reservations - it would be good to have it recorded before it comes down in Pātaka. A writer wants to do a featured story on it.
D) Jolie: 25yr celebrations on Saturday 23 April. Starting with whakapapa etc. Catering and bouncy castle budgeted
E) Moana: filming at Te Papa - Whiti te Rā. Date to be confirmed.
F) Sandra: Use contestable funding to buy new mattresses.
- We didn’t make the cut for the TPK building resource grant.
- We have funding to fix door and window in Rongoā room
- Defibrillator needs servicing
G) Kahu: 25 years Heke Mai Raro anniversary; Good to have Kīngitanga involved - whare opened by Te Ata and Kīngitanga. Ngāti Toa significant role in establishment of Kīngitanga.
This could be an end of year celebration. Could have a pou erected at Tawhiti Kurī, waka hourua etc.
H) Maikara: met with PCC Friday night around infrastructure broadband cover - tidal levels etc - just need to keep pushing. Could be a submission process - due diligence on everything
- Signage haven’t got anything done yet
