1.     Karakia/Mihimihi  Maikara

2.     Present: Maikara Thorpe, Trevor Kale, Patrick Grace, Roera Wendy Thomas, Hamish Mexted, Donna Jensen, Patricia Grace, Moana Parata, Jo-Anne Grace, Fiona McKnight.

3.     Apologies: Sandra McGill, Maureen Robinson, Jolie Gunson, Jenny Ngarimu, Kahu Ropata, Kohai Grace. 

4.     Amendments: Financial report was moved by Sandra and seconded by Moana.

Minutes from the last meeting are a true accurate account – Patricia moved, seconded Moana.

 5.     Matters Arising
- Ammon to draft letter of support for Luke Barnsley regarding trapping, planting, upskilling etc
- Moana to follow up TPK - survey about fallen soldiers celebrations. There are plans to have a memorial for soldiers at Takapūwāhia  

7) Runanga:  Moana - Report tabled and emailed. No rūnanga hui since June (Covid)

 11) Properties: 

·       Trevor to get quotes for windows and heaters for the basement

·       Heat pumps getting installed into whare awhina and windows and doors to be fixed.

·       Carpark light to go up soon 

·       Painting of disable toilet to be finished - cupboard to be installed behind door where sink was. Door hard to open. Shower all go. 

·       Coin operated washing machine and dryer - Trevor has a pamphlet - not sure where these can be put at the moment.    

·       Shed to be sorted - drainage is a lot better.  

·       Sorrel has been doing mahi around whare āwhina.

 

12) General Business:
A)
Patrick: More QR codes needed around marae - will contact Sandra.
- Band have had rehearsal upstairs. Keen to hold a music wānanga at some stage to include rangatahi - can apply for funding for this.   

B) Maikara: Urupā shed - Maikara to contact Moana to re-email him regarding this

DIA are doing awesome stuff for Te Wiki o te Reo Māori 

C) Moana: Naming of fire truck at Plimmerton. Seeking input from Hongoeka whānau - The Fire Chief would like to hui with us.

- Tangihanga at Takapūwāhia managed really well. Manuhiri in and out 50 at a time. Be good to consider this before we do our kitchen renovations.   

- Urupā track looks really good   

D) Roera talked to Miriama Rangihaeata regarding evacuation plan. They will be coming out to talk to whānau. Need someone from each household preferably young and old. Date TBC. Fiona also asked Ammon about a specific plan for Hongoeka. 

E) Fiona: Hongoeka website up and running - will go through with Tony Cutting - need more photos/content.
- Te Reo survey is ready to be distributed to whanau - will print out as well. Patrick requested to view the survey before it goes out.
- Comms can be done through the Hongoeka Facebook page  

F) Hamish: Plimmerton school are redesigning their logo and would like input. Kohai may have the info on this
